In the Origami SAAS product, you may upload your display picture which will be saved on AWS S3 and in the future might be stored on another one of the major cloud services, and will be used only to display your image inside in your Origami profile (i.e. chat and other references to you to make it simpler for your team to recognize you). There is a chat service inside Origami and if you use it the chat will be stored to display in your conversation. We will not access, analyze, or do anything with this chat history.

Origami functions as a user-managed database and you can store data using it as a drive and use those data whenever you need it. We never access, share, or do anything with your stored data in the drive.

We only use Your email (as stated at the start of this section) to send emails generated by the other users in your team and company (users can send other users emails using Origami) regarding new features, capabilities, to send invoices and changes we make. You can easily unsubscribe from those email alerts, in case you are not interested in such updates.

Non-Personally identifiable information means which cannot be used to identify or contact you. It includes profession, company industry, gender, current location, or zip code). We only collect those data for our internal use if needed. We don’t share, sell, or don’t do anything with this data.

We only collect Cookies automatically but we do not access this data. We use the cookies of the main website to track the user. Our analytics partner “Google analytics” uses cookies and other tracking technology to provide functionality and to recognize you across different Services and devices.

Note: Only the main website of Origami collects the above-mentioned information, but our SAAS solution does not collect any information.

We don’t collect any data from other sources(i.e Gmail, Google Calendar, and 365x Mailbox).

We only display those data on your screen. We do not read, analyze, or store it in any way. All data coming from external sources is just used to display on your screen in a relevant context to help you (the user) to easily find the relevant information from other sources.

Does Origami Collect Information from Children under 16 years of age

Our services are not intended for use by persons under the age of 16. When we find that any user under 16 has created an account, we immediately freeze or delete this account.

Why do we need your data

  • Provide and Improve Services: We use the data we collect to operate, maintain, provide, and personalize our Services and SAAS solution. The information we collect allows us to understand who benefits from Origami and how to better plan our development roadmap to make Origami better. This information also allows us to better understand who benefits from Origami, knowledge which in turn allows us to improve our sales process.

We share data (Only for the website not for our SAAS solution) with our analytics partner, “google analytics” which uses cookies and other tracking technology to provide functionality and to recognize you across different Services and devices. It only happens for our main website, our SAAS product doesn’t have the analytics.

How Long will Data be Stored

If you use Origami as a CRM or HRMS or ERP or just to store any data then the Origami application will keep the data as long as their account is active and 6 months after in case they want to reactivate it.

When do we disclose information to a third party

We may disclose your personal information when it is required by Law.

We will only disclose that information if it conflicts with the statutory Rules, Regulations, and if necessary for legal proceedings, search warrant, or any other legal investigation.

We have the right to disclose your data in special circumstances when we have grounds to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, to detect fraud, or to protect the safety contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be terminating our Terms of Service, and/or security of our users.

Does this Privacy Policy apply when you browse links to other websites or services

Our website may contain links to other websites or services(i.e Google, Facebook, Bing, etc.) but we are not responsible for your privacy regarding other websites or services, even if you browse those from the existing links of our website. We provide these links only for your convenience and information.

Is the information collected through the Origami Service secure

It is your responsibility to keep your passwords private and secure. We strongly recommend against sharing your logins and passwords with others.

From our side, all the stored data in Origami is secured. We take your privacy and the security of your information seriously, and we have taken precautions to protect the stored data. We have high standards of security, in secured AWS data centers, with high-security policy, WAF, restricted server access, and Multi-factor authentication.
To prevent unauthorized access, help safeguard, maintain data security, and correctly use your information, we have physical, electronic, and managerial procedures.

However, neither humans nor the security systems are foolproof, including encryption systems. We cannot guarantee these security measures will prevent third parties from obtaining information through illegal actions or attacks.

Could your Information be Transferred to other Countries

Technically it is indeed possible! The information we collect may be transferred to the official cloud providers like AWS and maybe Azure and Google cloud in the future. Currently, we store data in US-based Amazon AWS data centers and if you use Origami from another country like Canada, India, or the UK then your information will be stored in our hosting location USA.

As we believe your information should be available to you from anywhere, at any time, Origami service may be viewed and stored anywhere in the world, including countries that may not have laws of general applicability regulating the use and transfer of such data. With the fullest length allowed by adequate law, by using the Origami service and submitting such information on it, you voluntarily agree to the trans-border transfer and hosting of such information.

EU & U.S. Privacy Shield Framework

Origami complies with the EU-U.S and Swiss-U.S Privacy Shield Framework. Privacy Shield Framework assigned by the U.S. Department of Commerce about the use, collection, and retention of personal data transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States. Origami has certified that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Notice, Principles, Choice, Security, Data Integrity, Accountability for Onward Transfer, and Purpose Limitation, Access, and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability. If there any conflict arises between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and Origami (Represented as “we,” “us” or “our”) website, regarding the uses of your free and paid services, software, and websites, provided by Origami and it includes any data, files, information, usernames, images, graphics, profiles, audio, and video clips, sounds, musical works, works of authorship, applications, links, created tasks and associated information, text, files and other content or materials (together, the “Content”) uploaded, downloaded, or appearing on our website or our Saas app.

We already disclosed in our Privacy Policy, the way we collect and use your data. When you access our service, it will be treated as if you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. You need to ensure the safeguard of your password and monitor all the activities of your account. You should inform us immediately if you see any unusual activity in your account.
Without other user’s consent, you can’t access their account.
The account must be registered by a human. We don’t allow account registration through bots or any other automated processes. Additionally, You will need to be at least 16 years old to complete registration.
You are not allowed to disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer the service or endeavor or support anyone else to do the same practices, unless such restriction is prohibited by Law.
You are not allowed to use our service for any illegal or unauthorized practices. You agree to comply with all the applicable laws, rules, and regulations regarding your use of service and your content but not limited to copyright laws.
If you use our paid service, fees are non-refundable unless and until and until it is required by law or if you cancel the service during the 30-days money-back guarantee period. You will need to pay all the necessary fees and dues accordingly, if you pay such fees and dues via credit card and other electronic means you authorize us to charge you using your selected payment gateway. The software might be updated automatically and might need a minimum compatible device or operating system(i.e minimum 512MB RAM or Windows/Android 4.01 etc). When you agree with the compliance of these terms, we approve you a non-transferable, revocable, limited, nonexclusive, license to use the Software, merely provided for the specified service. However, that license will only provide you the access to use our service and you are not allowed to sell, copy, or do other illegal practices with it. Origami reserves all the rights, title, and interest in the software. Accepting our terms and conditions you agree with us that, you will not reproduce, republish, frame, download, transmit, modify, display, copy, reverse engineer, sell, or participate in any sale of, rent, lease, loan, assign, distribute, license, sublicense, or exploit in any way, in whole or partially, Our services, Our Content, or any related software, except as expressly stated in these Terms.
According to our discretion if we see that these terms are violated then we may terminate your account. Besides, we reserve the right to investigate and prosecute violations of any of these Terms to the fullest extent of the law. We may take any kind of legal action against users who violate our terms. You concede that we have no obligation to prescreen or monitor your access to or use of our Service or any materials, information or other content provided or made available through our Service but has the right to do so. Without expressly stated in these terms, we do not permit any express or implied right to use and share Origami content. You need to agree that you will not do any misuse, copy, reproduce, transmit, modify, display, republish, frame, download, reverse engineer, sell, or participate in any sale of, distribute, license, sublicense, rent, lease, loan, assign, or exploit in any way, in whole or in part, Origami Content, the Services or any related software or Client Software as mentioned above, without as expressly stated in these Terms and conditions.
You further agreed that you will not remove, alter, or obscure any trademark, copyright, service mark, or other proprietary rights notices incorporated in or accompanying Origami service. You concede that the services and contents are protected by copyright, trademark, and other compatible local laws including the USA.

b. Rights in User Content
We don’t have any ownership rights over the content submitted or created by you in your Origami service account and your content is solely yours. These terms and conditions don’t give Origami any license or right to your content except for the limited rights needed for us to provide the Origami service to you.
Only for some special purposes, we can access your content or data, like if we need it for any kind of development or improvement of our service. Similarly, any collected data from your use will remain yours.
By using our service you permit us that we can use this data in our service operation and also and you also permit us that as long as the data is anonymized and does not identify you, we can combine this data with the anonymized data of other companies to provide benchmarking, public reports or to otherwise use it to provide the Origami Service.

C. Alerts and Notification

As a part of our service, we may provide you (if enabled) text messages, push notifications, emails, alerts, or other types of messages directly sent to you outside or inside the App (“Notifications”). However, there will be some options for you also to opt-out.

Some of our services may contain advertisements and promotions, and you hereby permit us that we may place such advertisements or promotions on the service or in conjunction with your content. These advertisements may be changed at any time without any notice.
You concede that our system may always not identify paid services or sponsored content, or commercial communications as such for technical errors.
You accept that:

(i) you are the owner and responsible for the Content posted by you or through the Service or else have the right to grant the rights and licenses set forth in these Terms of Use;

Though our main intention is to give you the best service. Our service may be interrupted, including, without limitation, for scheduled maintenance or upgrades, for unscheduled downtime, for emergency repairs, for system and server failures, or due to failure of telecommunications links or other equipment.
We highly recommend you to keep a backup of your content or such stuff for backup or storage. If you lose your content for our modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services and then we will not be responsible for it. We also warn you about the breaches of security and that the submission of Content or other information may not be secure.
You further agree that you are responsible for the content posted within the service. We are not obliged to prescreen, monitor, edit, or remove any Content and your content violates these Terms, you will be legally responsible for that Content.
Except as otherwise stated in the Service’s Privacy Policy, as between you and us, any Content will be non-confidential and nonproprietary and we will not be responsible for any use or disclosure of Content. You accept and agree that your relationship with us is not a confidential, rigid, or other types of the special relationship and that your decision to submit any Content does not place us in a position that is any different from the platform held by members of the ordinary public, including with regard to your Content. You agree to defend indemnify, and hold the Origami harmless from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, which in any way connected with any of the following:

If we can not maintain the performance of any provision of these Terms will not be construed as a waiver of any provision or legal right. Entire Agreement
